Hi everyone, welcome to #LearnToCode.This post is an introductory post and it will explain you various things and most probably it will answer your various questions related to #LearnToCode.So without wasting much of time lets dive into the details and various facts regarding #LearnToCode
1) What is #LearnToCode ?
#LearnToCode is a community formed with the aim of improving the coding culture in the university and making people aware of various technologies.We are a group of three 3-4 people who are trying to help people by guiding them.The main motivation behind launching this was the inability of people to code even after reaching the pre-final year.We strongly believe that you should be clear about the fundamentals of at least one OOPS language(C++, Java etc.), Data Structures and Algorithms and we are going to help you in that.We have taken this initiative for 1st and 2nd-year students because they are having ample amount of time for improving their technical skills.We are not very much expert but yes we assure you that whatever you will be taught you will definitely understand that and thus will be able to transform your thoughts into code.
2) For what kind of people is this course suitable ?
This course is suitable for the students who are willing to learn something but are not able to learn because of the lack of proper guidance.If you are a diligent guy or girl then we will love to have you as the part of our course.Strictly speaking, this course is not for people who are not willing to put some extra hours.The course classes will be conducted on Sundays and Holidays so it will definitely eat up your weekend but I think sacrificing 48-60 weekends is really worth as it is going to give 100s of best weekends ahead in your life.So yes hard work is required here and we believe that you have to do hard work once in your life, it can be either now or some years later but the difference is that the hard work in later years will be more difficult than hard work you will do now.So why to make life tough, let's do hard work now and thus make upcoming years best years of our life.
3) Are the courses paid or free?
Our courses are absolutely free but there are some registration charges.The registration charges for the technical course is Rs 100 while for non-technical it is Rs 50.The registration charges are very nominal and we have kept these charges so that we can filter out unnecessary crowd.You only have to give these charges once and thus enjoy full courses.So yes, our courses are absolutely free and we have very nominal registration charges.
4) Are seats for our courses limited?
Yes, seats for our courses are limited.The seat requirement varies from course to course and you can see that under courses by going to the particular course.
5) What about workshops?
Yeah, we are going to conduct workshops and seats for workshops too are limited and the number is not going to exceed 60.The workshops are going to be of both types that are workshops with a live project and without the project.And yes there will be registration charges for some workshops and it will be never > Rs 100.We have registration charges for workshops for the same reason as for our courses.But one thing we can assure you is that workshops are going to be of good level and you will definitely learn something from our workshops.The first preference will be given to students who are enrolled in any of our courses.
6) Is there any eligibility for our courses?
Yes, we do have eligibility for our some courses and that you can see by going to the particular course under Courses tab.But yes if in case you are very passionate and you don't have required eligibility then we can see to it because we believe that if you have right attitude then you can learn anything.
7) What will be schedule of our classes?
The classes will be conducted on every Saturday(if not working), Sunday or any other holiday.The duration of classes will be 3-4 hours and trust us you will not get tired even after studying for these much hours because we actually make learning fun and you will surely enjoy our classes.
8) What will be the course duration?
The duration of each course is different depending on the length of the syllabus.You can check the duration of the course by going to the particular course under courses tab.
9) Will there be any Hackathon?
Yes, we are going to conduct Hackathon once in a month or 40 days that depends on the pace of our technical courses as we don't want you to go unprepared for Hackathons.The Hackathons are only open for students who are registered with us.And yes your efforts will not go unrewarded if you perform well in Hackathons then you will definitely get some exciting goodies from our side:)
10) How to register for our course?
You can register for our course by going to Registration tab on top and then fill up the form.After filling up the form you can pay the required registration fee and can start our course:)
11) Why to join our courses?
Ok so for this question you have to answer the following questions first:
   i) Do you want to learn something new?
   ii) Do you want your fundamentals to get strong?
   iii) Do you want to solve quality and mind-boggling questions?
   iv) Are you passionate about learning?
If the answer to all of the above questions is Yes then you should definitely try our courses.And trust us you will surely get some opportunities after completing our courses but that's surprise for you:)
